Pace Makes A Difference Day (PMADD) is a campus wide event where students, faculty and staff join together for a day to volunteer and give back to the local community. This year, PMADD is on Saturday, October 22. Along with this event, Paint A School Day will also be hosted where volunteers can request to be sent to this location to assist a local school is painting its hallways or exterior building.
This year, Pace is doing something new and unique. Prior to PMADD a Civility & Advocacy Week will take place, and the schedule is as follows:
Monday: What is Civility & Advocacy? 12:10-1:10pm
Sushi in the Sukkah 12:00-1:00
Tuesday: Smashing Stereotypes 3:30-4:30pm
Wednesday: Who Are You? 12:15-1:15pm

Thursday: PTARR: Navigating Difficult Conversations 12:00pm-1:00pm
Friday: Grit & Privilege 3:00-5:00pm

Another interesting element to Civility & Advocacy week is that most event are co sponsors by other organizations which will increase attendance and draw in a crowd. Hillel, POWER, and Pi Lambda Phi are a few of the main organizations that will be providing support throughout the week.
Civility & Advocacy week has never been attempted before, however several individuals that created this week’s itinerary such as LGBTQAO, Setter’s Leadership Initiatives, Office of Residential Life & Housing, Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs and the Student Development and Campus Activities are greatly looking forward to each day!
