Family weekend is being held from Saturday, November 5 into Sunday, November 6 where loved ones can come and interact with other members of the Pace community while getting a gist of what it is like to be a student on the Pleasantville campus.
The itinerary for Saturday is as follows:
10:00am-Continental Breakfast served in Gottesman, where President Friedman will speak and reminisce with senior students and their families.
10:30am-Each of the colleges: College of Health Professions, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Lubin School of Business, Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems and the School of Education will be hosting interactive sessions in various lecture halls. The topics range from a mock simulation on the United Nations interworkings where the Model United Nations (MUN) team will be present, to analyzing how to negotiate successfully with others in an advanced managerial setting. Families are given the opportunities to sit in with professors and excelling students on a variety of topics.
12:00pm-The Pace University Football Senior Day at the Pace Stadium where free t-shirts will be handed out, the Cheerleading team will be performing along with the Pace Dance Team and the Bookstore will also have a tent with apparel for purchase.
2:00m-4:00pm-During this time slot there are a variety of possible activities to do. There is a “Little Pups” program for families with younger children where arts and crafts will be done, there is a Volleyball game at 3:00pm and there is also another series of discussions hosted by prominent faculty on StrengthsQuest for families, Going Greek information or a session called “The Habits of Resilient Parents.”
4:00pm-6:00pm-There will be a family reception.
6:00pm-Family dinner where Pace suggests you take your student out to eat.
8:00pm-To end the days events there will be a casino night where games like Blackjack, Roulette, Caribbean Poker and several others will be played.
The itinerary for Sunday is as follows:
11:00am–Aladdin Broadway Show where transportation will be provided.
1:00pm–Matilda Broadway Show where transportation will be provided.
Family weekend is not only a time for students to see there family before Thanksgiving break, but it also serves as a time to commemorate the graduating seniors and bring the Pleasantville campus come together as a whole.
