Career Services, located on townhouse hill past adjacent from the security booth, is available throughout the week to assist students with several individual needs from resume building and formatting to internship searches and providing workshops to further one’s knowledge, they do it all.
Career Services says, “96% of students who engage with us, stay with us.”
This office provides a plethora of different services to both students and alumni alike. Everything from career counseling and advisement, providing career fairs, on-campus recruiting, internet resources for researching industries and employers, professional networking, job search links and internship opportunities. In addition, Career Services provides resume and cover letter critiques, interview skill building and employer spotlights.
A new online network they have paired with is Handshake. This is a website where all of Pace University’s connections from public, private and government employers in varying fields from marketing and computer technology services to political campaign assistants and research, there is something for everyone and thousands of connections to make them possible.
According to Career Services website, http://www.pace.edu/career-services, has over “500 nationally recognized and local employers within numerous industries including business, government, nonprofit, healthcare and technology, provide extensive opportunities for networking, internships and professional employment.”
Career Services also provides information for instances where you have a major but do not know what path to pursue, you want to create a LinkedIn and have no idea where to start, or if you have an internship next week and have no idea how to dress or what to say, Career Services answers all of these questions with you.
