‘Tis The Season Of Giving

With the Thanksgiving break currently in session until Monday, November 28, it is a good time to reflect and think about all that you are thankful for.

This will be Pace University’s 5th year participating in #GivingTuesday commencing on November 29, 2016. #GivingTuesday occurs each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. #GivingTuesday follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which all work together to start to the charitable season.

During this charitable time Pace University’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations promote and extend invitations to anyone and everyone to donate towards #GivingTuesday.

In 2015, the initial goal of raising $25,000 was immediately stretched to $50,000 and the total raised at the end of the day was over $100,000! Pace students, alumni, and everyone in between in one single day, were able to surpass a goal by tripling the initial anticipated donation total. This was recognized as an outstanding achievement that demonstrated “the immense strength and generosity of the Pace Community.” This year, Pace has set a new goal that has not been disclosed get, and hopes to continue creating our own personal records making #GivingTuesday another great success.

One of the most prominent places #GivingTuesday will be promoted and advertised is on social media where the presence of alumni, current students and any other interested party are able to see whether that be through a tweet, follow, like or share.

Every single gift donated on #GivingTuesday is greatly appreciated, and to make a donation just visit: www.pace.edu/givingtuesday
