The sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma (Phi Sig) hosted their annual holiday bazaar on Sunday, December 4, 2016 between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm. Over thirty vendors attended this day-long event. From “The Jam Man’ to jewelry, all of your handmade holiday shopping wishes could be found at the bazaar.
As you entered the bazaar area there were tables lined outside of Kessel Student Centers Gottesman multipurpose room that were used for a variety of different functions. From the 50/50 raffle and baked goods made by Phi Sig sisters to the brunch options provided from Frank and Joe’s Deli, both inside and out were buzzing.
As you entered, there were tables lined in an orderly fashion around the room. Different types of jewelry was one of the most prominent items found. There were several different vendors with unique jewelry styles and tastes from earrings and chokers to rings and bracelets. You could also find scarves, hats, tea clothes and napkins with witty sayings as well as hand crafted mirrors, vases and tea detoxes.
The five-hour long event was hosted by Special Events Committee co-chairs Nicole Grieco and Lauren Gruska who had been planning this event since September.
At the end of the Holiday Bazaar the raffle items were called out ranging from Islanders tickets and Rayban sunglasses to gift cards and fun baskets, there was a little something for everyone.
